Finally: JUpload v0.90 entered BETA state! |
| We have finished the next version of JUpload v0.90 and after we provided a documentation and all necessary translations, we will release it. More information, a demo and screenshots will soon be available. I opened a thread in the forums which can be found here: JUpload v0.90 Beta Discussion Note: This is beta version and still subject to change! Also see: You as webmaster can easily change the whole appereance and functionality of JUpload. Every single GUI elements can now be completely activated or deactivated. The following screenshots are displaying JUpload v0.90, using the the SkinLookAndFeel by L2F Productions with the MaggraX Skin. | | New Thumbnail View Displays image files as thumbnails. The size of the icons, as well as the gap (empy space) between them can be configured. The toolbar seen at the top currently contains the "Add Files", the "Remove Files", the "Upload Files" and the "Menu" buttons. These buttons can be deactivated and their order is customizable. Thumbnail view | | The FileChooser A comfortable way of adding new files to the list. Selected images are previewed (can be deactivated). The size of the preview and the FileChooser itself can be changed. You are also able to add image-, media-, office- or any other filetype-filter which will only allow certain files or filetypes to be added. The last added file is always shown first when opening the FileChooser. Alternatively you can use the FileChooser-, FileTypeChooser- and the FolderChooser- Plugin (cannot be seen here) which are other applets that work hand-in-hand with JUpload and are completely Drag-And-Drop-enabled. Information and screenshots will follow.
| | Preparation status at the bottom Shown while files are being added after they have been selected in the filechooser or dragged into the application. During Preparation, all other functions are still available (more files can also be added). Preparation can be cancelled. | | Upload status at the bottom This will only be shown during upload time. All other functions are still available. You can cancel the upload through the "Stop Upload" button at the top. It can also be hidden when clicking on the "Upload Status"-Bar above where it will show again when clicking the bar again. Its height is configurable. | | Response panel at the bottom The server's response is displayed here as an HTML page. Similar to the Upload Status, the button at the top of the response panel collapses/expands it. Of course you can also change its height. | | General Popup Menu Opens when the "Menu button" at the top is clicked. It is fully customizable: The appereance as well as the order of the displayed buttons and seperators can be easily changed. | | Options Dialog (Login Settings for server) Is opened from the "General Popop Menu". Right now there is only the security tab. Tabs can easily be added (from Plugins) or disabled and there will be more tabs in the future. The "Login Settings" are only shown if user authentication is required (through Configuration-Parameters). NTLM-Authentication is also supported. The NTLM-Authentication requires the user to supply the Windows-Domain therefore he or she can enter it here if required. | | Options Dialog (Proxy Settings) JUpload supports proxies. At this point, the user can change his or her proxy-settings. If JUpload cannot connect because the user did not setup proxy-information, he will be internactively asked to enter them during the Upload. NTLM-Authentication is also supported. The NTLM-Authentication requires the user to supply the Windows-Domain therefore he or she can enter it here if required. | | File Popup Menu
Opens when rightclicking on one of the file views (including the treeview on the left). The user can now also save files or directories and convert the format and size of image-files. The selected operation will apply to all currently selected files (for example, when clicking "Save Files" all selected files will be saved to a directory that the user is asked for through a FileChooser).. All options that are not available for the selected files, are hidden (for example, only image-files can be converted). | | Using the Windows-LookAndFeel This screenshot shows how JUpload looks like under Windows when using the Windows-LookAndFeel which is a default LookAndFeel and does not need to be downloaded. The complete desig and appereance can be completely altered with only one simple change in the configuation. A LookAndFeel is a theme that defines the appereance and lookout of your application. You notice the warning at the very bottom in the "Status Bar" SomeFile:This file is too big (Maximum: 7.63MB). This is because we configured the maximum uploadable file size to be 7.63MB and can of course be changed. |
